Seaplane Classic set for Friday through Sunday
The London Bridge Seaplane Classic event includes more than 100 radio controlled planes. Friday through Sunday, registered pilots free fly their planes at Windsor Beach in Lake Havasu State Park. The event is free to any spectators and on-site registration to fly an RC plane will cost $60. A public raffle will take place on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. Raffle tickets will be sold until then for $2 each, 3 for $5, 8 for $10, and 15 for $20.
This will be the 33rd year that the Desert Hawks Radio Control Club will be hosting the Seaplane Classic event in Lake Havasu. The money from the event is used to fundraise the club and its future activities. In this event, RC-flight enthusiasts from around the globe come to showcase their radio-controlled planes and helicopters. There are many unique aircrafts of all shapes and sizes that passionate hobbyists have spent hundreds of dollars to create.
