Liquor laws enforced in eight-county area

The Altoona office of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement received 67 complaints in December.

Officers conducted age compliance checks at four businesses, one of which sold alcohol to an underage buyer. Officers issued one violation letter and 18 warning letters for liquor law violations, along with four citations for underage drinking.

The office enforces liquor laws at more than 1,000 licensed establishments in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Fulton, Huntingdon, Mifflin and Somerset counties.
