Two Aussies Share Lead Down Under

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) _ Peter Lonard and Nathan Green shared a one-stroke lead Saturday entering the final round of the season-ending Australasian Tour Championship.

The two Aussies were at 10-under-par 203 after three rounds at Concord Golf Club. Lonard shot a 2-under 69 and Green a 67.

One shot behind were two other Aussies _ Scott Gardiner (63) and Anthony Painter (68). Next at 206 were Australia’s Geoff Ogilvy (68) and New Zealand’s David Smail (70).

Second-round leader Aaron Baddeley of Australia had three late birdies in a 74, leaving him at 207.

Gardiner birdied five of his last seven holes in a bogey-free round.

Jim Benepe of the United States shot a 65 to move into contention, four shots behind the leaders.
