Shooting outside Akron convenience store wounds 2

AKRON, Ohio — Two people were shot, one multiple times, after gunfire erupted Thursday afternoon during what police say was a large fight at a convenience store in the West Akron neighborhood.

Officers were called to Mr. Pantry at 950 Copley Road at 1 p.m. after reports of the fight.

Police found a 21-year-old Akron man with gunshot wounds to both legs and an arm. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital in serious condition.

A 16-year-old male later showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his right leg. He told officers at the hospital he had been shot outside the Mr. Pantry.

Investigators currently have no suspects in the shooting, which remains under investigation.
