Interim superintendent announced for St. Johnsbury schools
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) — Officials have announced an interim superintendent for the St. Johnsbury School District.
The Caledonian Record reports School Board Chairman Chris Wegner said Monday the former Montpelier superintendent, Brian Ricca, will take over as superintendent of the St. Johnsbury district for three days a week.
Ricca started Monday, and he will receive $60,000 as part of his 10-month contract.
He will replace Ranny Bledsoe, who recently announced her resignation as part of an effort to “restore equilibrium.”
Multiple administrators resigned after Bledsoe began working with the district, but the findings of an investigation into the turnover were not made public.
Bledsoe previously said she would step down July 1, 2019, but she received approval to leave earlier effective Aug. 17, 2018.
