Burlington police seek public’s help after gunfire reports

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Burlington police are asking for help from the public after reports of gunshots in a neighborhood of Vermont’s largest city.

The shots were reported about 4:15 p.m. Monday near Manhattan Drive and North Champlain Street.

There were no reported injuries and police found no direct evidence of gunfire.

One eyewitness told police the driver of an orange vehicle with black rims may have fired shots out over the sparsely populated Intervale.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Burlington police.
