Local Dems plan candidates’ events next week

BULLHEAD CITY — Mohave County Democratic Central Committee is hosting a meet and greet with the Democratic candidate for Arizona Governor David Garcia.

Area residents are invited to meet the candidate from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at El Palacio, 1885 Highway 95.

Garcia faces incumbent Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, and Green Party candidate Angel Torres in the general election on Nov. 6.

MCDCC is also hosting a bipartisan town hall-style meet and greet for three Democratic state and federal candidates from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Chaparral Country Club, 1260 Mohave Drive.

David Brill, candidate for U.S. 4th Congressional District, is challenging four-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, a Republican, and Haryaksha Gregor Knauer, Green Party, in the general election after advancing from the primary on Aug. 28.

Mary McCord-Robinson, Democratic candidate for Arizona House District 5, is running against Republicans Leo Biasiucci and incumbent Regina Cobb. Arizona Senate District 5 Democratic candidate J’aime Morgaine faces Republican incumbent Sonny Borrelli in the general election.
