Singer-Songwriter Father of Girl
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) _ Singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins and his wife Eva are the parents of a girl, just what they were hoping for to go with a new song already written using the infant’s name.
Isabella Loggins was born on Oct. 26, said Stephanie Piccone of Cottage Hospital. Loggins gave permission for the hospital to announce the birth, but details about the baby’s size weren’t disclosed, Ms. Piccone said Monday.
″The baby and mother were doing fine,″ she said, adding they have since left the hospital for their Santa Barbara home.
Publicist Larry Larson said Monday the entertainer asked that no information be disclosed to ensure family privacy.
Loggins, 39, the father of two boys, Crosby, 6, and Cody, 5, was hoping for a girl. He went so far as to write and record the song ″Isabella’s Eyes″ for an upcoming album currently in the works.
He has had hit songs on the movie sound tracks of ″Top Gun,″ ″Footloose″ and ″Rocky IV,″ and he wrote the Doobie Brothers single ″What a Fool Believes″ with Michael McDonald. He won a Grammy award for ″This is It.″
