Airplane skids off runway; no injuries
A Delta flight skidded off the runway at Fort Wayne International Airport on Tuesday night while it was taxiing onto the runway.
No injuries were reported, said Scott Hinderman, executive director of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority. The slide-off occurred about 6:30 p.m., he said, when the nose wheel of the CRJ-200 jet went onto the shoulder of the runway.
All 51 people aboard the flight that was headed for Atlanta got off the plane and were waiting in the terminal two hours later to find flight plans, Hinderman said.
