1 man killed in officer-involved shooting in Shoreline
SHORELINE, Wash. (AP) — A Washington official says a man was killed in an officer-involved shooting that happened while SWAT officers were serving a search warrant on a residence in Shoreline.
King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ryan Abbott says a 55-year-old man confronted three SWAT officers with a handgun after they entered the residence to search for narcotics and illegal firearms.
Abbott says the officers opened fire on the man who died in the home.
Officials say no officers were hurt.
The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on paid administrative leave while the shooting is being investigated.
Abbott says one woman has been arrested and another person was taken to the police station for questioning.
Shoreline is located north of Seattle.
