Chris Evans’ Visit to Lowell on Hold
LOWELL -- Filming of the new Chris Evans project, initially scheduled for next week, has been postponed “for now” due to scheduling changes, according to city officials late Friday morning.
No new dates were provided.
Chris Evans, known for his role as Captain America, was scheduled to be in Lowell to film a new mini-series, “Defending Jacob,” on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7. Filming was set to take place in the George Ayotte Garage at 11 Post Office Square across the street from Lowell High School, according to city Parking Director Tobias Marx.
“Defending Jacob” is an eight-episode crime drama based on a novel by William Landay. It’s being produced by Paramount Pictures for Apple TV.
Marx said the city had not finalized the deal with the studio, but typically charges market rate, $11 per parking space, for use of the garage in addition to other fees.
