Early voting starts Thursday

Voters can cast early ballots in the Nov. 6 general election beginning Thursday.

Early voting for Whiteside, Lee, Ogle, Carroll and Bureau counties will be conducted during regular office hours Monday through Friday at county clerk’s offices in Morrison, Dixon, Oregon, Mount Carroll and Princeton, respectively.

County clerk’s office hours for early voting are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Whiteside, Carroll and Ogle counties; 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Lee; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Bureau.

Voters across the Sauk Valley will see a variety of contested races, including deciding the state’s next governor, attorney general, secretary of state, comptroller and treasurer as well as congressional seats, state senators and representatives, regional school superintendents, sheriff and County Board members.
