Frontier Airlines plane goes off runway; none hurt
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ A Frontier Airlines plane with 66 people on board reported hydraulic problems shortly after takeoff Wednesday, then went off the runway during an emergency landing at Salt Lake City International Airport. Nobody was hurt.
The pilot of Flight 205 to Denver requested permission to return the Boeing 737 to the airport shortly after taking off at 11 a.m., airline spokesman Bob Schulman said.
A videotape of the landing showed it was not a ``particularly wild ride,″ said Ron Malin, the airport’s deputy director of operations.
``That perspective, however, might have been different for those on board,″ Malin said.
The 61 passengers were booked on other flights.
The nature of the problem was not immediately known, Schulman said.
