Citizens’ Voice Donates ‘blessing Bags’
The Citizens’ Voice advertising department recently made “Blessing Bags” which will be distributed to the areas homeless by Catholic Social Services.
The idea for the “Blessing Bags” came to light after a retired and original employee of The Citizens’ Voice became displaced after a fire.
“He needed to utilize the area homeless shelters and the aid of Catholic Social Services to find permanent housing,”said Beth Rensa, advertising coordinator at The Citizens’ Voice.
Chantel Thompson, legal advertising coordinator added, “It was an eye-opening experience when we were trying to help out our friend. There were many people that came together and helped. We wanted to repay the kindness.”
Each bag contains a winter hat, scarf, gloves, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues and granola bars.
