Dunstable Man Charged in Sex Assault
NASHUA -- A Dunstable man was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexually assaulting a female at a residence in Nashua in July, according to the Nashua Police Department.
The agency’s Uniformed Field Operations Bureau arrested John Hunt, 22, at approximately 2:59 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for aggravated felonious sexual assault, special felony.
At approximately 1:10 p.m. on July 22, detectives from the Special Investigations Division received a report of a sexual assault that occurred earlier that day. Police said a female victim known to Hunt reported that he sexually assaulted her. According to a release, the victim was physically uninjured, but did respond to an area hospital for evaluation and was subsequently released.
Following an investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Hunt with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, special felony.
Police said Hunt was released on $7,500 cash or surety bail, pending his arraignment on Sept. 13.
