August 27, 2018

Indaba Coffee Roasters is hosting its first Indaba Fest.

The inaugural event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 15 and features live music, food trucks and – of course – coffee and mini doughnuts.

Co-hosts include the creative nonprofit Spark Central and Hello Sugar, the mini doughnut shop that shares space with Indaba’s North Nettleton Street location on the west end of Kendall Yards.

Admission is free. The event is family-friendly.

The music line-up includes Arty from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chris Molitor from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and DJ Kade Archer from 4 to 6 p.m.

Indaba Coffee Roasters – and its first Indaba Fest – takes place at 419 N. Nettleton St. The Facebook events page for the fest bills it as “a great launching point for all great PorchFest 2018 activities! Come hang out with your neighbors and celebrate our amazing Spokane community.”

The fifth annual PorchFest celebration takes place the same Saturday in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood. That event runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and features music and poetry. For a lists of participating porches, visit marshallinspokane.com/PorchFest/.
