Man Faces Manslaughter Charge in Death
AMARILLO, Texas (AP) _ A man faces a manslaughter charge after another man shot himself in the head while the pair played Russian roulette, police said Monday.
Bryan T. Walker, 23, allegedly owned and had loaded the medium-caliber revolver. He was freed on $50,000 bail after an arraignment Sunday.
The victim, Michael E. Barber Jr., 21, was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound early Sunday at a hospital. He was described as a willing participant in the game.
Investigators were looking into whether alcohol was involved, police Lt. Gary Trupe said.
No one answered the phone at Walker’s home Monday afternoon.
