Hornets’ Lynch Cleared to Practice
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Charlotte forward George Lynch was cleared to begin practicing on Friday and could make his Hornets’ debut next week.
Lynch, who hasn’t played this year because of a broken bone in his foot, was allowed to begin running on Friday. He had surgery to repair it shortly after the Hornets acquired him in October from the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Hornets don’t have a practice until Monday, so that will be his first time on the court with his new teammates. Coach Paul Silas said he hoped to get Lynch some minutes Tuesday against Chicago.
``He’ll have a good hard practice on Monday, but the quicker we can get him into a game the better,″ Silas said. ``We’ve got to get him out there on the floor running up and down, bumping and banging, that’s the only way we can speed up the process.″
