BLOOMFIELD, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of the woman killed this week when she was struck by a New Jersey Transit train.

The agency says 36-year-old Anna Galushkina, of Bloomfield, was hit around 9:30 a.m. Monday by a Montclair-Boonton Line train near the Watsessing Avenue train station in Bloomfield.

But it's still not clear why she was on the tracks.

The train was traveling from Montclair State University to New York's Penn Station and was carrying 750 crew members and passengers. No one aboard the train was injured.
