4K, 5K enrollment for 2019-20 to begin for WUSD
The Watertown Unified School District will begin conducting online enrollment for Watertown 4Kids 4-year-old kindergarten program as well as the 5-year old kindergarten program on Monday at 10 a.m. This information is for a child who will be 4 or 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2019.
Families may go to www.watertown.k12.wi.us to enroll their child. Once on the district homepage, scroll to the bottom under “Prospective Families” and click on the “Enrollment Information” link.
Watertown 4Kids is a community-based and school-based tuition free 4-year-old kindergarten for children residing within the Watertown Unified School District. Watertown 4Kids sites include Douglas Elementary School, Gingerbread Preschool, Jefferson County Head Start, Mary Linsmeier Schools and Watertown Catholic School - St. Bernard’s Campus.
Enrollment for Watertown 4Kids will be accepted online on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space at each site is limited. If a parent enrolls their child before Monday at 10 a.m. for the 2019-20 school year, the application will be denied and they will have to reapply.
After completing the online enrollment process, parents have 10 business days to complete the enrollment process at Schurz Elementary School, 1508 Neenah St., between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Parents will need to provide their son or daughter’s birth certificate or hospital record to verify birthdate and turn in immunization information.
Five-year old kindergarten enrollment will also be accepted online starting on Monday at 10 a.m. To ensure each child will be able to attend kindergarten orientation in late spring, complete the online enrollment process by March 1. Families currently enrolled in WUSD Watertown 4Kids will complete this process through their current 4K site and do not need to complete the online enrollment process for 5-year-old kindergarten.
If a parent does not have online access, they can use the computer lab at Schurz Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. If they need online access after the enrollment date, they can go to the Educational Service Center at 111 Dodge St. from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
