MIAMI (AP) _ Jeblar scored a three-length victory over Dwight D. Sunday in the $62,500 Broward Handicap at Calder Race Course.

Ridden by Joe Velez Jr., Jeblar ran six furlongs in 1:10 2-5, beating the track record by a fifth of a second.

The 4-year-old Florida-bred son of Alydar paid $11.20, $6 and $3.40. Dwight D. paid $4.40 and $3.80, and Opening Lead paid $6.40 to show.

Jeblar started the race third, ahead of Show Dancer and Dwight D. But moving through on the rail, Jeblar took the lead going into the far turn and never gave it up.

Jeblar led by a length and a half at the top of the stretch and held back Dwight D., who gained second but could get no further.
