Smith Signs Deal With ABL Quest
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Katie Smith is staying in Columbus.
Smith, who helped lead the Columbus Quest to the first American Basketball League title, signed a two-year contract Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Smith was the last Quest player to re-sign with the team. She was the team’s second-leading scorer last season, averaging 15.8 points per game.
Smith played at Ohio State from 1992-96 and set nine school records. She led the Buckeyes to the national championship game in 1993 and was selected as the Big Ten’s player of the year as a senior. She is the conference’s all-time leading scorer with 2,578 career points.
