South Euclid man accused of sexually assaulting dog, attacking wife

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Police are searching for a 27-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his Maltipoo and then attacking his wife when she confronted him.

Charges have not officially been filed in South Euclid Municipal Court, records show.

The incident happened about 7:45 a.m. Sunday at a home near Fenwick Road, according to a police report.

The wife told police she heard her dog crying in the bathroom. She opened the door and saw her husband sexually assaulting the dog, the report says.

She screamed at him and told him to leave several times. He told her the police wouldn’t do anything because it’s just a dog, the report says.

The woman tried to call 911, but he pushed her back several times, twisted her arms, spit in her face and knocked her to the floor, the report says.

The man took her phone and threw it down the stairs, the report says. He left the home.

The woman told police that she does not know where her husband will go and does not have a phone number for him because he uses burner phones, the report says.
