Two motorcyclists killed in Lake County crash

MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Two Lake County men are dead after crashing their motorcycles early Sunday, police say.

The crash occurred on the 6300 block of Lake Road, between Hubbard and Redbird roads, Madison Township police said in a news release.

Craig Ciulla, 36, of Wickliffe, and Brian Morris, 40, of Willowick, were riding together when the crash happened, officials said. They were heading westbound on Lake Road when they “failed to negotiate a curve in the road,” the news release states.

Ciulla and Morris’ motorcycles crashed off the left side of the road, police said. Morris was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Ciulla died from his injuries at MetroHealth.

Madison Township police are working with crash reconstruction teams to probe the crash. Officials did not provide a preliminary cause of the incident.
