LOS ANGELES (AP) — The attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels is apologizing for comparing President Trump’s attorney to a pig. But Michael Avenatti says his apology isn’t to Rudy Giuliani — but “to the pig.” The verbal smack-down is the latest in the ongoing war of words between the two camps. It comes after Giuliani attacked both Daniels’ integrity and her line of work. He told an audience in Israel Daniels lacks credibility because she’s a porn star. The former New York City mayor says Daniels is not to be believed because she has “no reputation” compared to the three women Donald Trump has married over the years. Daniels claims she had an affair with Trump while he was married to his current wife, Melania. Daniels has been fighting to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement she signed just before the 2016 presidential election.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — People in the adult film industry say it’s tough enough being a porn star — without having to put up with put-downs by the likes of President Donald Trump’s lawyer. Several porn stars rebuked Rudy Giuliani for his comments about actress Stormy Daniels, who says she had an affair with Trump. Speaking in Israel, Giuliani said he can’t respect a porn star because she isn’t — quoting here — “a career woman or a woman of substance or a woman who isn’t going to sell her body for sexual exploitation.” Porn star Kimberly Kane says those comments are “dangerous and dehumanizing” to sex workers. She says Giuliani’s words are aimed at undermining Daniels’ claims based on the way she makes a living — and not on the facts of her case.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — You almost need a scorecard to keep track of who’s suing who in the Stormy Daniels case. A day after Daniels filed suit against her former lawyer for being a “puppet” for President Donald Trump — that attorney has filed his own lawsuit. Keith Davidson is suing the porn star and her new attorney, Michael Avenatti for defamation. The suit also takes a legal stab at Trump’s personal attorney. Davidson is suing Michael Cohen, accusing him of illegally recording their telephone calls. This all stems from Daniels’ claim that she had sex with Trump in 2006. Trump denies it. Daniels has been trying to kill a nondisclosure agreement she signed just before the 2016 presidential election. She says voiding the deal will free her to tell her story about what happened between her and Trump.

NEW YORK (AP) — All the signs pointed to it. And now New York City’s chief medical examiner has made it official: Kate Spade died of a suicide by hanging. The determination of Spade’s cause of death was made yesterday, two days after the fashion designer was found dead in her Park Avenue apartment. Those close to her say Spade suffered from depression and anxiety for years. She was 55.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Have you been worrying yourself sick over whether there will ever be a “Legally Blond 3?” Worry no more. Reese Witherspoon herself is confirming a sequel is in the works. She’s posted a clip on Instagram of her floating in a pool wearing a pink bikini. The caption reads: “It’s true...# LegallyBlonde3.” Witherspoon starred as Elle Woods in the original 2001 movie — and the 2003 sequel.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Want to buy Ben Affleck’s old place? Go for it, if you have about $9 million. The actor is selling his mansion on Georgia’s Hampton Island. And the place has plenty of elbow room. The 87-acre property overlooks the North Newport River, near Savannah. The four-bedroom home features 6,000 square feet of living space — and has 25-foot high columns. Besides the four-bedroom main house, there’s a screened-in “cottage” for entertaining — and a large guest house with five bedrooms and three master suites.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Bill Murray has been planning for a food truck park in South Carolina. And it looks like those plans are becoming reality. The Charles Post and Courier quotes the actor and his two partners as saying The Container Bar will begin serving customers this summer. The food truck hub will be at a former Charleston office building that’s been gutted and redesigned to suit the new venture. The project was initially called Food Truck-O-Rama.

NEW YORK (AP) — A Lin-Manuel Miranda musical is starting to pick up steam as it heads to becoming a movie. “In The Heights” is due out in 2020 as a summer release. Miranda will produce the movie, which is about a bodega owner in the Washington Heights area of New York City. Warner Bros. won the rights to the 2008 musical, which had been in development at The Weinstein Co. That firm has auctioned off many of its assets in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The latest remake of the 1937 movie “A Star Is Born” is getting closer to release. A trailer for the movie is now out — and it features Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper singing. Cooper co-wrote and directed the movie — and will star as country singer-songwriter Jackson Maine. Lady Gaga will play Ally, the woman who helps Maine kick his dependency on booze as they fall in love. The most recent revival of the movie starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. The new version is due in theaters Oct. 5.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — He couldn’t keep his job at the “Today” show after accusations of sexual misconduct surfaced. But it does look like Matt Lauer will be able to keep his lakeside ranch in New Zealand. Authorities in Wellington have concluded the scandal that cost him his Today gig didn’t rise to a level that would disqualify him from keeping the property. New Zealand requires foreign buyers of key real estate assets to be of good character — and Lauer’s firing by NBC prompted an investigation.

NEW YORK (AP) — A former contestant on the TV reality show “Top Chef” is due in court today — to face charges of trying to kill his neighbor’s tree. Adam Harvey lives in Brooklyn and his next-door neighbor had a giant maple tree on his property. Police say Harvey drilled holes into the trunk of the 60-year-old tree and filled the holes with herbicide. The New York Daily News reports Harvey, who is 33, claimed the tree blocked sunlight from the solar panels on his home. Half the leaves on the tree have wilted and it’s in danger of dying.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Washington Capitals have won their first Stanley Cup championship, capturing the NHL title with a 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights last night. But don’t look for a key player to show up if President Donald Trump invites the Caps to the White House. Devante Smith-Pelly is one of two blacks on the team’s roster. And he says he has no interest in visiting with Trump. Smith-Pelly says the things Trump “spews are straight-up racist and sexist.” Smith-Pelly says it has nothing to do with politics — but some of the things Trump has said are “pretty gross.” Smith-Pelly spoke two days after Trump canceled the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles’ visit to the White House, and a day after NBA stars LeBron James and Curry said they wouldn’t visit if their team won the NBA title. The Warriors lead the NBA Finals 3-0 and can clinch if they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers again tonight.

She’s quoted in the publication Waitrose that she has passed her first trimester. This will be Middleton’s first child. She married hedge fund manager James Matthews in 2017.
