Flickapalooza Film Festival to Open

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) _ Dominique Deruddere’s ``Everybody’s Famous!″ will open the Flickapalooza Film Festival, which runs Sunday through Wednesday.

The film will be shown at the opening-night gala at the Harmony Gold theater in Hollywood. The remaining screenings will be held at the Laemmie Monica 4 Plex in Santa Monica.

``Everybody’s Famous!″ is the story of how some people will do anything to become famous. It centers on a Belgian factory worker and his plump daughter’s show-business aspirations.

Also on the schedule: Chris Matheson’s comedy ``The Wise Ones,″ Sue Brown’s comedy-thriller ``Getting the Dirt on Trish″ and ``Bro,″ which explores the unique relationship of three Latino friends in Miami.

Flickapalooza Film Festival is presented by Scriptapalooza Inc., an annual screenwriting competition. It’s the official film festival of the Association of Independent Feature Film Producers.
