September 23, 2018

Karen Juliano was announced Friday as the new principal of Lourdes High School in Rochester

Juliano, who will join Lourdes on Oct. 1, succeeds Paul Menard, who resigned in July to take a position in Wisconsin.

Juliano holds a bachelor’s degree from Regis College in Weston, Mass., a master’s degree from Boston State College, and a doctoral degree from Spalding University in Louisville, Ky.

She has previously served in leadership positions at Catholic secondary schools in Cincinnati, Louisville, Geneva, NY, and Tyngsboro, Mass.

Juliano is a specialist in curriculum development.

“It must teach stewardship — responsibility for all the treasures of all communities — world, local, school, family and church,” she said. “All who enter the school should recognize it as a faith-centered community committed to learning and stewardship.”
