Pickrell-area burglary being investigated

Authorities are investigating a burglary from a rural Pickrell residence earlier this week.

At around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an overnight burglary at a residence in the Pickrell area.

The victim reported that between 6:30 p.m. the previous night and that morning someone entered their garage through an overhead garage door that was unlocked and continued through French doors that were also unlocked, according to a press release. They then gained access into a porch area of the residence. In this area, they took antique watches, antique fishing reels and antique car accessories.

The investigation is ongoing and evidence collected at the scene will be evaluated.
