PHOENIX (AP) _ Milton Vaughn, a former player for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League, was found dead at his home following a two-year battle against heart disease. He was 27.

Vaughn died Monday night. Earlier in the day, he complained of feeling nauseous while playing in a celebrity golf tournament, the team said in a news release.

``It's a tragic loss for anyone with the Rattlers,'' head coach Danny White said. ``He was a quiet leader and a good friend.''

Vaughn played for Arizona State and played with the Rattlers during the 1994 and 1995 seasons.

Last Saturday, Leon Bender, the Oakland Raiders' second-round draft choice, was found dead in his agent's home in Atlanta. Bender was 23.
