Matthew L. Walwer, 38, of Danforth, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 7, 2018) due to an automobile accident in rural Danforth.
He was born May 30, 1980, in Watseka, the son of Pamela M. (Walwer) Burch.
Matthew was a member of the Danforth Reformed Church in Danforth.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Matthew worked for Watertight Construction as a carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He also enjoyed playing softball, camping and fishing.
He married Julie Miller on Oct. 24, 2009, in Danforth. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mariah Gonzalez, Liliana Walwer and Khloie Walwer, all of Danforth; his parents, Pamela and John Burch, of Watseka; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Schultz, of Watseka; three brothers, Brian (Rachael) Walwer, of Woodland, John Burch, of Chicago, and Matthew (Tiffany) Burch, of Hampton, Va.; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Charles L. Walwer; and paternal grandparents, Helen Smith and Alvin Burch.
Visitation will be from noon Sunday, Aug. 12, until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka, with the Rev. Donald J. MacDonald III officiating. Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery, Danforth.
Memorials may be made to his family.
