Columbus Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting tonight
The Columbus Holiday Hullabaloo kicks off Friday, Nov. 23, at 6:30 p.m. with the Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting. This year’s parade route is down South Dickason Boulevard, ending at the library lawn where the city’s tree will be lit by Santa.
Between Nov. 26 and Dec. 14 take in the sights of Columbus decked out in lights as the Home Decorating Contest takes over the town with the theme of “Peace on Earth.”
Read “Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats, a classic tale following the adventures of a little boy on a very snowy day in the city, on this year’s Storywalk through downtown.
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce sponsors a pair of holiday events. The day after the Holiday Parade, Saturday, Nov. 24, is Stop, Shop and Sip, a Small Business Saturday wine walk. This year’s event will also feature a selection of non-alcoholic drinks from Sprecher’s.
