WASHINGTON _ Acting Environmental Protection Agency chief and former coal lobbyist Andrew Wheeler won a Senate committee’s approval of his appointment to the permanent post on Tuesday, along with praise from the panel’s Republicans for his work rolling back a series of Obama-era environmental measures. _ PROTECTING INFRASTRUCTURE _ A bill that would impose tougher penalties against protesters who intentionally disrupt the operation of refineries, power plants, pipelines, mines and other such facilities in Wyoming has died in the state House of Representatives.

_ RESERVOIR-BODY FOUND _ A 22-year-old Wyoming man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing a 19-year-old Cheyenne man while robbing him of marijuana and cash.
