INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Todd Hundley, scheduled to rejoin the New York Mets on Saturday, hit a three-run homer in Norfolk's 13-8 victory over the Indianapolis Indians on Thursday night in the International League.

Hundley, who was 2-for-3 in his first appearance for Norfolk after playing 11 games for Class A Port St. Lucie, homered in the sixth inning to give the Tides an 11-7 lead.

He batted .243 with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs for Port St. Lucie in the Florida State League.

Hundley set a record for catchers with 41 home runs in 1996 and hit 30 last season. He will play the outfield for the Mets, who acquired All-Star catcher Mike Piazza from Florida on May 22.
