SCOTTSBLUFF — The Historic Midwest Theater announces free holiday matinees in December.
This is a great opportunity to drop your kids at the theater and do your holiday shopping in scenic downtown Scottsbluff, or perhaps you just need a little cabin fever reliever for yourself and the kids during this cold month. Either way, come on out to the theater and enjoy some holiday fun.
The four films showing this year are: “Jingle All the Way,” “The Polar Express,” “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994 version) and “Elf.” All movies are rated G or PG
•“The Polar Express” will show on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1:30 p.m. “The Polar Express” matinee is a pajama party. Hot cocoa will be for sale before the movie.
•“Miracle on 34th Street” (1994 version) will show on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1:30 p.m.
Local sponsors for “Jingle All the Way,” “The Polar Express” and “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994 version) are Ferguson Signs, Regional West Health Services, Randy Schmidt Memorial and JeCee Pilkington/Jess Pilkington/Edward Jones.
•Elf” will show on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 1:30 p.m.
“Elf” will have a sock snowball fight during the movie. Audience members are asked to bring new pairs of socks to be used for the snowball fight. All socks will be donated to families in need.
