Big Spring Symphony Orchestra concert

The Big Spring Symphony Orchestra has scheduled its first concert of the season, “B is for Benstein (and Big Spring)” at 7:30 p.m. today at the Big Spring Municipal Auditorium, 310 E. Third St., Big Spring.

The season opener features Alexa Grae, counter tenor, who will sing the overture from Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide.” Grae teaches voice at The Voice Lab in Chicago. Rigorous training as an opera student challenged him to study different musical art forms while working on a master’s degree in music from Northwestern University.

Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and free for all students through college age.
