Demolition starts on West Virginia school hit by floods

FALLING ROCK, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia high school destroyed by floods two years ago is being demolished.

News outlets report crews started tearing down Herbert Hoover High School in Kanawha County on Monday. The demolition and cleanup process should be finished later this fall.

A design process is under way for a replacement high school with the goal of opening in 2021.
