NCAA-PURDUE-TENNESSEE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. _ The Tennessee Volunteers have done so much in a season that could be the best in program history, and making only the second Elite Eight would be yet another step. Third-seeded Purdue, co-champs of the Big Ten in the regular season, stand in the way Thursday night at the South Regional semifinal with the Boilermakers looking for their first Elite Eight berth since 2000 in their third straight trip to this stage of the NCAA Tournament.
