Police: Man wields machete in Lunenburg robbery

LUNENBURG, Mass. (AP) — Lunenburg police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who wielded a machete during a robbery at a city video game store.

Sgt. Sean Connery said the robbery happened at the Game Stop store on Massachusetts Avenue at about 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police tell The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/1GL6MgF) the manager and a clerk were locking up for the night when a masked man came in with a machete and held up the store.

Connery says the robber got away with about $2,000 in cash.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was described as about 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a slim build.

Anyone with information is urged to call authorities.
