PHNOM PHEN, Cambodia (AP) _ Indonesia scored two late goals and defeated Cambodia 2-0 Sunday in qualifying for the 2002 World Cup.

Eko Purdjianto scored in the 78th minute and Bambang Pamungkas in the 87th for Indonesia (3-0), which leads Asia Group Nine by three points over China (2-0). Indonesia's win eliminated both Maldives (1-3-1) and Cambodia (0-3-1).

The group winner joins Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the 10-nation Asian finals, which will produce two qualifiers for the 2002 tournament in Japan and South Korea.
