Man charged with manslaughter in fatal Mississippi wreck
COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi man has been arrested and charged with manslaughter for a wreck on Christmas Eve that killed a 32-year-old woman in his car.
WTVA-TV reported that that Lowndes County Sheriff Mike Arledge said that 29-year-old Jonathan Jamahl Bardely of Columbus has been arrested for the wreck.
Arledge says Bardely ran from the wreck on Christmas Eve but turned himself in to deputies on Christmas morning.
Coroner Greg Merchant says Deanna Clark was pinned between the door of the car and a tree. She was taken to University Medical Center in Jackson where she died.
It was not known if Bardely has an attorney.
