Origin Bank expands in Memorial City; investors ink 4 apartment deals

Hilltop Residential has purchased the 398-unit Villas at Bunker Hill apartments at 9757 Pine Lake Drive. Chris Curry, Todd Marix and Estee Ibáñez of HFF represented the seller, SouthStar Communities. Cortney Cole and Jett Lucia arranged acquisition financing.

Origin Bank has expanded its lease to 19,000 square feet at the Murphy Oil Building, 9805 Katy Freeway, in Memorial City. Louis Rosenthal and John Burke of JLL represented the bank, which will occupy the entire second floor. Brad MacDougall of MetroNational represented the landlord.

Safoco has leased 35,000 square feet of office space at 9901 Regal Row. Jill Nesloney of Lee & Associates represented the tenant. Travis Land with NAI Partners represented the landlord, United Equities.

GBP Industrial, a private investment group, has purchased a 63,550-square-foot building at 5050 Westway Park Blvd. in Beltway 8 Corporate Center from Houston-based Vigavi. Built in 2009, the building is fully leased. Dustin Volz, Kevin McConn, Rick Goings, Zane Marcell, Richard Quarles and Mark Nicholas of JLL brokered the sale.

Houston-based Levcor has purchased three single-tenant buildings operated by Sand Dollar resale shops from RFT Enterprises and Riggins + Fite. The buildings are at 1903 Yale, 7018 Harrisburg and 2535 Spencer Highway in Pasadena. Kerry Shawell of Berkshire Hathaway HS Commercial Services represented buyer. Karen Highfield at Chicago Title handled closing.

TRI Consulting Group, Next Investments and TPEG purchased the 576-unit Madison Park Apartments on 23.5 acres at 9801 Meadowglen Lane in Westchase. Clint Duncan and Matt Phillips of CBRE represented the seller. Michael Thompson of CBRE arranged financing.

Fort Worth-based Olympus Property has acquired Vista at Grand Crossing at 302 Cobia Drive in Katy and renamed the property Olympus Grand Crossing.

Lone Star Capital Group, led by Kent Piotrkowski and Rob Beardsley, has acquired Cranbrook Forest, a 261-unit apartment complex on 11 acres at 13875 Ella Blvd. in northwest Houston from The Lynd Co. Built in 1983, the property contains 17 buildings. Michael Muller and Marc Belsky with Eastern Union Funding arranged a $14 million acquisition loan.

Texas Children’s Hospital has renewed its 42,198-square-foot lease at Sugar Land Medical Building II, 15400 Southwest Freeway. David Bale of JLL represented the tenant. Evan Saks and Amanda Houghton represented the landlord, Healthcare Trust of America.

PennWell Corp. has renewed a lease for 19,363 square feet at 1455 W. Loop South. Bob Cromwell and Kevin Nolan of Moody Rambin represented the landlord, Koswood Investments NV. Grayson Wallace and Rich Claussen with Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
