Police: Man escapes after pickup rolls off Chatham pier
CHATHAM, Mass. (AP) — Police say a man had to escape from his pickup truck after it rolled into the water in Chatham while he was still inside.
Deputy Chief John Cauble says a nearby Chatham Fish Pier employee called police Wednesday morning saying a 1978 Chevrolet pickup truck had gone into the water.
The driver escaped the truck after it became fully submerged in Aunt Lydia’s Cove. He was uninjured and told police he had lost his brakes before the truck rolled off the pier. He name was not released.
