CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) _ Reggie Ingram scored 17 points to lead five Southern Utah scorers in double figures as the Thunderbirds breezed to a 93-63 win over Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in the semifinals of the American West Conference tournament Friday.

Ingram enjoyed a perfect shooting night, going 6-for-6 from the floor _ including a 3-pointer _ and 4-for-4 from the foul line.

``A lot of the shots were 10-foot jumpers and layups,″ Ingram said. ``They left me open and the shots were falling.″

Southern Utah, 16-11, will face Cal State-Northridge in Saturday’s tourney final. The two have already played twice this season, with Southern Utah winning both games.

Cal State Northridge defeated Sacramento State, 86-81.

The top-seeded and heavily favored T-Birds erased any notion of an upset early, jumping out to a 20-point lead before five minutes had passed.

The lead continued to grow and reached 37 points before Evans emptied his bench early in the second half.

In addition to Ingram, four other Southern Utah players finished in double figures. Jim Faulkner and Keith Berard scored 13 each, Donnie McDade had 12, and Aaron Morrison scored 10.

With the loss, Cal Poly-SLO finished the season at 1-26, setting a record for losses by a first-year Division I program.

Damien Lavesque led the Mustangs with 22 points and seven rebounds.
