FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A 33-year-old New Bedford man charged with killing a mother of three, stealing her television, and selling it for drug money, is scheduled to face a judge.

Jeremy Amaral is expected to be arraigned Thursday in Fall River Superior Court.

The Standard-Times (http://bit.ly/1c5EQ9I ) reports that he faces charges including murder and robbery in connection with the March death of 35-year-old Tiffany Ann Durfee.

According to court records, Amaral assaulted the victim with "a sharp instrument" and stole her 55-inch, flat-screen TV, which he later sold for drugs.

Durfee's mother found the body when she came to watch her grandchildren.

Amaral's lawyer had no comment on the case.
