SCOTTSBLUFF — The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two-vehicle collision Monday morning that resulted in a City of Scottsbluff employee being treated for injuries.
Firefighters and Scottsbluff Police responded to the 600 block of Valley View Drive shortly after 8:30 a.m. James Bornschlegl, driving a Scottsbluff Animal Control vehicle, was headed eastbound on Valley View Drive when he collided with a parked 1960s half track semi. The van’s windshield, hood, and bumper were damaged in the crash.
According to Scottsbluff Police Officer Phil Eckerberg, Bornschlegl reported his vision was obstructed by the sun prior to the collision.
