Two Women Charged With Bailing Man Out and Then Killing Him
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) _ A woman repeatedly abused by her boyfriend bailed him out of jail, shot him in the head and dumped his body in the woods, prosecutors say.
About 12 hours William Kelly’s release from jail, hunters discovered the body of the 31-year-old man face down in a cranberry bog Monday.
His girlfriend, Margaret Kosmin, 31, and Tammy Ann Molewicz, 25, both of Medford, were arrested Tuesday in the slaying and jailed on $200,000 bail.
″She figured he’d get out sooner or later,″ said Camden County Prosecutor Edward F. Borden Jr.
Kelly had been in jail since Dec. 19 on aggravated assault charges after he dragged Kosmin by her hair and beat her with a club at a train station, Borden said.
A month earlier, the Philadelphia man was arrested on assault charges and accused of violating a restraining order Kosmin obtained against him.
On Monday, Molewicz bailed Kelly out for $1,000 and the two women picked him up, stopped at a convenience store and shot him twice in the head, Borden said.
Kelly was found wrapped in a sheet, a pillowcase over his head. Twine was tied around his neck, legs and hands. A revolver was found at the scene.
