American Association of University Women to host lunch meeting Saturday
POCATELLO — The Pocatello Branch of American Association of University Women invites members and others interested to attend a no-host lunch meeting this Saturday, Sept. 22, at Cafe Tuscano (2231 E. Center St.) from noon to 2 p.m.
The meeting will begin with “Title IX Overview,” a presentation by ISU Title IX Coordinator Matthew Wright, focusing on pay equity and sexual harassment, as well as ways in which our branch can take action to address these issues locally. Question and answer time will follow the presentation.
The remainder of the meeting will be used for branch business: finalizing 2018/19 officers, reviewing outcomes of the July Mini-Retreat to determine our goals and direction, and discussing (and setting up sub-committees for) upcoming projects, including workshops, scholarships, and our 100-year branch anniversary banquet.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, if you plan to attend.
AAUW’s mission is to advance equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy. Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. New members may join for half price at the meeting.
