Pearland quarterback J.D. Head completed 9 of 17 passes for 157 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Oilers to a 52-0 win over Alief Elsik Friday night in a District 23-6A football game at The Rig.

Head threw touchdown passes of 3 and 29 yards to Jaden Piece and 41 yards to Malcom Linton in the first quarter, after which the Oilers held a 20-0 lead.

Jaelin Benefield then ran one yard for another Pearland touchdown before Head hooked up with Piece again, this time on an 18-yard play as the lead swelled to 32-0 with 3:30 left in the first half.

The Oiler advantage reached 38-0 by halftime when Tanner Tullos caught a 4-yard scoring pass from Layne Roblyer.

Pearland (6-0, 3-0) received second-half touchdowns from Landon Bradley and Jonathan Alaniz on runs of 20 and two yards, respectively.

The Oilers rolled up 360 rushing yards, led by Benefield with 139 yards on 12 carries and Bradley with 102 yards on six attempts.

Pearland amassed 614 total yards while its defense limited Elsik to just four first downs and 111 total yards.

Pearland will take on unbeaten Strake Jesuit next Friday at Crusader Stadium in a battle of unbeaten teams.
