ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a man has been found in an arroyo in northeast Albuquerque and it appears to be a homicide.

Albuquerque police say they received a call around 6 a.m. Sunday about a person who was face down and not moving in the water of the arroyo near Interstate 25.

The man was dead when officers arrived and investigators from the police department's violent crimes unit was called to the scene.

Police didn't immediately release the man's name or any information on how he died.
