Remembering Marianne Gibbs Smith
Marianne Gibbs Smith was the type of person that others aspire to model their own lives after.
She had a hunger and thrust to do God’s work and believed that the best way to show others who Jesus is was to be Jesus-like everyday. Marianne led an extraordinary life and her love for God was contagious and affected people throughout the world.
“Even though she did not become a missionary until later in life, everything she did she was on mission,” said Susan Filter, her daughter. “Whether it was being a wife, a mother or running a restaurant, that was her mission field. Her mission field may have changed, but everywhere she went she was on mission.”
